– describing people, places and employment

– giving reasons, explanation and examples

– describing an event

– expressing future plans, hopes and wishes

– speculating and predicting

– expressig enthusiasm

– comparing and contrasting

– expressing certainty and uncertainty

– expressing opinions

– expressig conditions

– making suggestions
